Additional Services and Night Trains to Help Visitors Get to Debrecen Flower Carnival
During the Debrecen Flower Carnival, the MÁV Group will provide additional services, as well as a coordinated night-time timetable on the national holiday and main concert days, as announced by Zsolt Tárkányi, Debrecen MP and Parliamentary State Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Investment.
He added that following the evening concerts, some trains will depart later than usual, while additional bus services will operate on certain routes, ensuring that visitors can get home smoothly and without having to make compromises, both from Debrecen and from surrounding towns and villages.
The State Secretary also highlighted that it is worth planning journeys in advance using the MÁVPlusz app, where the necessary seat reservations, tickets and travel cards can also be purchased. Tickets purchased through MÁVPlusz are eligible for a 15 per cent digital discount.
Travelling to Debrecen
During the Flower Carnival, visitors can choose from the following frequent daytime travel options:
From Budapest: Nyírség and Latorca InterCity trains run hourly during the day from Keleti railway station, while Cívis InterRégió trains run hourly from Nyugati railway station.
From the wider region: regular long-distance bus or rail connections are available from Nyíregyháza, Miskolc, Eger, Szolnok and surrounding towns and villages, typically every 30–120 minutes.
From Hajdú-Bihar County: suburban buses and local trains serving the area around Debrecen provide regular connections from nearby settlements.

The last trains will depart Debrecen 35–44 minutes later than usual, between 11.20pm and 11.30pm. In directions not served by rail, new night bus services will depart after the main concerts, creating a coordinated and integrated public transport system.
