Craftspeople can present their work and products with a new initiative

Farmers from across the region gathered in Hajdúbagos for the Helyi Kincsek Napja (Local Treasures Day), bringing with them a rich array of artisanal delights—cheeses, honeys, baked goods, syrups, and more. Organized by the Hajdú-Bihar County Directorate of the National Chamber of Agriculture, the event showcased the best of local produce and craftsmanship.

Visitors from Mikepércs, Derecske, Hosszúpályi, and Létavértes joined the festivities, which are part of a seven-location initiative aiming to build a lasting tradition. Guests could sample products, enjoy craft workshops, watch live demonstrations, and meet farm animals—all designed to ensure that even those arriving with just a “housewife’s basket” could leave with everything needed for a lunch or dinner.
