Debrecen Advent can be voted the most beautiful Advent market in the country

The Debrecen Advent Fair will open again this year in the city centre. Now you can vote to decide which is Hungary’s most beautiful Advent fair.

As we reported earlier, following the tradition of previous years, Kossuth Square and Piac Street will be lit up with festive decorations, as will Hal köz and Szent Anna Street. This year, Zamenhof Street will be decorated for the first time. The lights will be switched on at the first Advent candlelight and decorate the city streets until Epiphany. The construction of the ice rink, one of the most popular elements of the Advent Fair, has also started on Kossuth Square.

Mayor László Papp pointed out on his social media page that this year’s vote will decide the most beautiful Advent fair in the country. Travelmag travel magazine has chosen Debrecen as one of Europe’s 20 most beautiful Christmas fairs in 2022.
