Debrecen Airport Suspends Air Traffic Amid Dangerous Weather Conditions
Due to heavy snowfall and exceptionally slippery surfaces and with maximum safety in mind, Debrecen International Airport has temporarily suspended air traffic, as announced in a statement.
The decision is in line with the practices of several major airports in the region, including Budapest, Vienna, and Bratislava, where traffic has likewise been restricted or suspended due to the current weather situation.
“Airport specialists are continuously monitoring weather and runway conditions, and as soon as the conditions for safe operation are once again fully met, Debrecen International Airport will reopen its gates to passenger traffic,” they added.
