Debrecen hosts the 21st Short Course Swimming National Championship
More than 300 competitors and nearly 60 teams are participating in one of the country’s most prestigious swimming events, including many Olympians and internationally renowned athletes.
The four-day championship is one of the most important events in Hungarian swimming, and foreign teams also come to attend. The morning heats start at 9.00 a.m. every day and are free to attend, so spectators can cheer on the best of Hungarian swimming up close, the Debrecen Sports Center announced.
During the preparations for the National Championship (OB) and the competition, the Debrecen Sports Swimming Pool will not be able to provide a track and other services for the swimming pool’s guests between 12.00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, and 8.00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9.
The afternoon finals start at 5.00 p.m.; tickets cost HUF 1,500/day. Children under 6 years of age are admitted free of charge, in case they do not occupy a separate seat.
The organizers sell a maximum of 500 tickets per day, so it is worth securing seats in advance.

– Tuesday: 2.00 p.m. – 7.00 p.m.
– Wednesday-Saturday: 8.00 a.m.  – 6.30 p.m.
