During the winter, ReFoMix’s primary mission is to save lives, so shelter is offered to anyone who needs it, along with 24-hour medical service.
Every year, the city of Debrecen’s administration visits ReFoMix Nonprofit Közhasznú Kft. Social and Health Centre to see their needs. Diána Széles, vice-mayor and co-president of the Debrecen Charity Board, and Edit Bódor, president of the Debrecen Charity Board, recently delivered warm clothes, 70 coats, and ten fruit crates to the people in need.
During the winter, more attention is paid to homelessness. Debrecen’s homelessness care system has been working exemplaryly for years, thanks to all the staff of ReFoMix. Currently, the homeless care system in the city is operating at total capacity, with 354 places, of which 288 are residential and 66 are day shelters.
Debrecen is doing its utmost to ensure that the homeless can get through the winter without problems and receive the care they need during this challenging period.
Debrecen is a caring city with unprecedented cooperation between NGOs, institutions, companies, businesses and the municipality. The Municipality of Debrecen and the Debrecen Charity Board help the homeless and the people in need. They ask the people of Debrecen to call the ambulance (number 112) or ReFoMix (+36 30 206 1377) if they meet someone who needs help or care.
