Organised jointly by the University of Debrecen and Kodály Philharmonia, this gala concert offers a special musical experience where young talents and professional musical artistry meet on a magical summer evening.
In front of the beautifully renovated façade of the University’s main building, an exciting opera and operetta showcase will feature young vocal soloists performing the most popular excerpts from works staged during recent semesters.
Excerpts from G. Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love, as well as from Johann Strauss Jr.’s Die Fledermaus, and Ferenc Lehár’s The Merry Widow will be performed with the participation of Kodály Philharmonia and the MediChoir Student Choir.

Soloists are postgraduate students of the University of Debrecen’s Faculty of Music, specialising in stage performance: József Balog, Csenge Bégány, Péter Magyar, Alexa Szabó, Kornélia Szabó, Patrik Szabó, Gábor Wágner, and Gyula Baranyi (guest performer).

In case of bad weather, the concert will be held in the Liszt Hall of the University of Debrecen Faculty of Music.
Tickets are available online and at the Klassz Point ticket office, with seating is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The event can also be viewed free of charge from University Square, outside the seated area.
