Wrap yourself in holiday cheer and join Debrecen’s sixth Ugly Sweater Charity Run on 28 November, where charity goes hand in hand with a joyful atmosphere and the pleasure of exercise.

On-site donations can include non-perishable food with at least six months’ shelf life, as well as chocolate, and will be delivered to families by staff from the Debrecen Charity Board.

Participation is free, good spirits are guaranteed, and a Christmas jumper is practically compulsory!

10:00 a.m. – On-site registration
10:50 a.m. – Group warm-up
11:00 a.m. – Start of the 3.5 km route
11:10 a.m. – Start of the 1 km route

1 km route: Baltazár Dezső Square – Hunyadi Street – Kálvin Square – Kossuth Square – Múzeum Street – Déri Square – Baltazár Dezső Square

The routes are not officially measured or certified, so the focus is not on records, but on enjoying the experience together.

Dress for the Christmas Spirit

Your most important accessory will be an ugly Christmas jumper! Bring out your flashing reindeer, glittery snowman, pom-pom Christmas tree or Grandma’s most treasured festive knitted masterpiece. Wear comfortable sports clothing underneath your jumper so you can enjoy the activity, too.

There is no age limit. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Participation and Registration

Participation is free, but registration is required in advance online by 26 November or on-site between 10:00 and 10:45 a.m. at the starting point in Baltazár Dezső Square. Please arrive on time if you wish to register on-site as entries are not accepted after 10:45.
