Let’s paint with joy! Bilingual Workshop at Deutsches Kulturforum Debrecen

Me Time Experience Workshop, Deutsches Kulturforum Debrecen and Painting parties with Ági - Debrecen await interested visitors to Let's paint with joy! English instructed workshop on the 2nd of March from 2.00 p.m. which is going to be a fun activity for kids, parent-child pairs and of course for adults as well.  The program is instructed in English. Visitors can choose from 3 pictures (hedgehog, Harry Potter, horse) and are asked to send a message in advance to info@enidomuhely.hu telling which picture is chosen to paint at the event.  The canvas will be pre drawn and instructions will be given throughout the painting step by step.  Payment is upon arrival and  pre-registration is essential to attend the event. Exhibition of Painter János Maksai opens in Simonffy Street Youth Centre

Exhibition entitled "I'll tell you in the language of painting" is opening at the Simonffy Street Youth Centre on the 4th of  March at 4.30 p.m. The exhibition will be opened by Managing Director of DEMKI János D. Halász, and President of the Association for the Great Forest of Debrecen Ibolya Marincsák with the contribution of  Napsugár Bartha. For János Maksai, love is the key word. He feels comfortable in the world and does what he loves: painting. For the painter from Debrecen, creating is the most natural part of life. His life is usually predictable: he gets up in the morning and goes to paint... And for recreation he sometimes does gardening and is active around the house.  He has been painting for more than fifty years, and in that time he has put thousands of paintings on canvas. Some of them are quite small, but some are 150x320 cm, which he assembled from three pieces, because otherwise they would not have fit into the painter's studio. Polish Painter’s Paintings on Display in German Cultural Forum

The exhibition, entitled Vanishing Landscape will open on the 5th of March Tuesday at 5.00  p.m. at the German Cultural Forum in Debrecen and can be visited until the 31st of March. The artist wants to draw attention to the problem of disappearing green spaces and places untouched by human intervention. There are fewer and fewer of these places and are being squeezed out year by year by new investments, and there is a real risk that the landscape we have known until now will disappear. Barbara Hubert was born in Rzeszów and attended the School of Fine Arts. She completed her higher education in the painting department at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts, studying under professors Stanisław Rodziński and Leszek Misiak. Green for Life Roadshow starts on Thursday

HUMDA Hungarian Mobility Development Agency PLC., a part of the Széchenyi University Group, is launching a comprehensive e-mobility roadshow called "Zöld Életre Valók" (Green for Life) in Debrecen on the 7th of March. The roadshow, which will visit various locations throughout the country and stay for four days each, aims to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly energy in everyday life and encourage the transition to green energy, which is the future of the Hungarian economy in households, transportation, and industry. Between the 7th and the 10th of  March, organisers are expecting visitors from kindergarten age to the elderly at Kossuth Square in Debrecen. The mission of the HUMDA Green for Life national e-mobility and technology roadshow is to raise awareness about hydrogen technology, energy storage and electric vehicles, their benefits, operation and environmental aspects. The roadshow will offer public installations and free activities in public spaces during the first half of the year. Women’s Day Concert of Debrecen Symphonic Band

Debrecen Antiques Fairs Start in March

Exhibition entitled “Metamorphosis” in Kálvin Gallery of the Reformed Great Church

Gábor Kustár's exhibition entitled “Metamorphosis”  opened  on the 10th of  March in  Kálvin Gallery of the Reformed Great Church.  The artist is a pastor and teacher in his everyday life, and now shows his sculptures in this sacred space. The sculptor describes his work as a wrestling between matter and spirit, to create a unique blend of both. Through the special exhibition the rotten wood, the rusty iron also come to life.
