Incoming Economic Minister and MP-Elect Hold Talks with CATL Debrecen Representatives
An intruductory meeting was held on 29 April between István Kapitány, incoming Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy in the new Tisza government, Zsolt Tárkányi, the party’s MP-elect for Debrecen, and representatives of CATL Debrecen.
MP-elect Zsolt Tárkányi wrote on his social media page that members of the Chinese delegation had followed his campaign with particular attention. He made it clear to them that compliance with regulations is the foundation of any industrial activity in Hungary and that he will treat it as a top priority to ensure that the authorities fulfil their responsibilities in this area.
Incoming Minister István Kapitány stated that the introductory meeting was constructive and could represent an important step towards strengthening further professional relations.
They informed CATL’s leadership that the operation of the closed Debrecen–Nagykereki railway line is in the interest of the city and the region, and therefore its reopening is being planned. In connection with Railway Line 106, Zsolt Tárkányi wrote that a solution must be found to make this possible, adding that Dávid Vitézy, incoming Minister for Transport, also agrees with this concept.
