Main Auditorium Under Renovation at Apolló Cinema

The main auditorium of Apolló Cinema – which acquired its current form following a refurbishment in 1997 and has been in continuous operation ever since – welcomed audiences for the last time in its present configuration on Sunday, 26 July. With this, a chapter in the history of the Mihály Kertész Hall has come to an end and extensive refurbihsment wokr began on Monday, expected to be completed by 7 September.

It is symbolically significant that the very first seat was removed personally by Tamás Fejér, Director of the cinema.
