Main Road 33 Renovations Continue in Debrecen with Another Section of Füredi Road to Be Resurfaced
Ongoing since mid-June, road resurfacing works on Main Road 33 are scheduled to continue within the administrative area of Debrecen. During the next phase of the project, the approximately 250-metre section of Füredi Road between Nos. 76 and 94 will receive a completely new road surface across its full width.
The works will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption to traffic as much as possible:
- Wednesday, 8 July: The project will begin with the installation of temporary traffic management measures and traffic diversions.
- Thursday, 9 July: Kerb removal will commence, followed by the construction of new kerbs, which is expected to take approximately two weeks.
- Final week of July: The existing asphalt surface will be milled, first in the outer lanes and then in the inner lanes, after which the entire carriageway will be resurfaced with a new asphalt layer.
- Final stage: As the last step, new road markings will be applied and the permanent traffic management measures will be put in place.
The resurfacing of the affected section is expected to be completed by the middle of August.
Mmotorists are kindly asked to drive with extra care on the affected section of road and to follow the temporary traffic management signs in place. We would like to thank residents and all road users for their understanding and patience during the works.
