Mobile Parking Convenience Fees to Be Removed Soon

After March 16, no convenience fee will be charged for mobile phone parking payments, as announced Károly Balázs Solymár, State Secretary for Infocommunications at the Ministry of Energy.

The State Secretary noted that mobile phone parking had previously been subject to a convenience fee and its abolishment will save motorists a total of HUF 3.5 billion every year.

Solymár Károly Balázs recalled that convenience fees were also abolished for e-vignettes last September, resulting in annual savings of HUF 2.5 billion for users.

“Convenience fees go, convenience stays,” the State Secretary added.
