The Pediatric Clinic received a donation from Semcorp
Semcorp Hungary Ltd. donated HUF 500,000 and handed over a total of 200 Santa chocolates to the children cared for at the University of Debrecen’s Pediatric Clinic on Thursday. The company once again joined the Debrecen Charity Board’s Advent donation campaign this year.
Corporate social responsibility and standing by community causes are of particular importance to the separator‑film manufacturing company. Therefore, just as in previous years, it participated in the Debrecen Charity Board’s Advent donation program this year as well. The Chinese‑owned company supported not only the Pediatric Clinic as Christmas approached but also disadvantaged families connected to the Family and Child Welfare Center.
For these families, the company offered fifty packages of durable food, while the children received gift packages made up of toys and sweets. Both donations were handed over on Thursday in the lobby of the Pediatric Clinic.
“I got to know Semcorp’s team last year, and then we managed to give personalized gifts to 50 families. We even visited a family in Debrecen, where the director personally handed over the gift. We have continued this cooperation now, bringing the donation to a place where attention and love are truly needed. Without the help of the nurses, doctors, professors, and caregivers here, their lives would be much more painful,” said Edit Bódor, president of the Debrecen Charity Board.
