Traffic schedule change at the intersection of Külsővásártér and Szoboszlói Road
A change will come into effect in the currently valid temporary traffic schedule due to road construction works at the intersection of Külsővásártér and Szoboszlói Road—the contractor informed the Debrecen municipality.
On November 6, 2025 (Thursday), from 8:30 a.m., after the morning rush hour, the right-turn lane in front of the ambulance station will be completely closed, so it will not be possible to turn right from Külsővásártér towards Szoboszlói Road.
Prior to this, on November 4 and 5, partial closures are expected for shorter periods due to asphalt milling works.
The other directions of the intersection will continue to be usable according to the currently valid temporary traffic schedule, but congestion and longer travel times should be expected.
The works involving traffic restrictions are expected to last for two weeks, depending on the weather conditions, so the right-turn lane will be available again from 6:00 a.m. on November 17, 2025.
In parallel with the closure of the right-turn lane, the asphalt wearing course will be completed on the side of Szoboszlói Úti Primary School; as a result, from the second half of November, traffic from Miklós Street toward Szoboszlói Road will once again be able to flow in two lanes.
On the planned day of the wearing course construction, November 13, 2025 (Thursday), alternating traffic control with traffic signals will be in effect on Szoboszlói Road, in the vicinity of Keleti sor, which may cause congestion during the day.
Drivers on the affected road section are advised not to drive out of habit but to follow the displayed temporary road signs.
