EVE Power launches recruitment campaign to find 400 new employees

Eve Power Hungary Kft.’s HUF 400 billion investment in Debrecen has reached a key milestone. At its 450,000-square-meter plant being built on a 45-hectare site, the company will manufacture battery cells for the BMW Group. The development of production capacity is progressing according to plan, and in the coming period will see expansions to several areas that support the processes required for the start of production and stable operation. As stated at a press conference on January 20, the company’s goal is to establish long-term sustainable operations that fit into the dynamically developing industrial environment of the region.

As part of the recruitment campaign starting at the end of January, Eve Power Hungary Kft. is primarily seeking technicians, engineers, as well as administrative and other support staff, relying as much as possible on the regional domestic workforce.

The company welcomes applications for positions advertised across various professional fields via its own career page, its LinkedIn platform, and job advertisement portals.

“Our investment in Hungary has reached an important phase; in the coming period we will focus on building and strengthening production-related processes. Our goal is to establish stable and predictable operations in Debrecen, and to involve professionals who live in the region and want to work at a technologically advanced company with an international background,” emphasized Zhang Huanting, Managing Director of Eve Power Hungary Kft.

“During the expansion planned for the first half of 2026, we are looking for technicians, engineers, and support staff who want to work in an international environment and are open to long-term professional development. There is already significant interest in the positions; every day we are contacted by potential employees from the region who wish to gain experience in the battery industry,” said Tom Rong, HR Director of Eve Energy.

At the briefing it was explained that behind Eve Power stands EVE Energy, a stable, family-oriented international company where people truly matter. Research and development, long-term career paths, and continuous development play an important role, while international opportunities open up for employees from Debrecen.

It was also noted that the battery industry has undergone significant development in Eastern Hungary in recent years. The Debrecen investment is connected to this dynamic environment, contributing to the strengthening of the region’s economy and the spread of modern industrial technologies. For the company, it is particularly important that the workforce required for expanding capacities is recruited predominantly from the city and the surrounding region. Strengthening local employment is a long-term objective of Eve Energy’s Hungarian subsidiary, thereby also supporting the region’s economic development.

“For us, 2026 is about partnership: we are building long-term collaborations in Debrecen and the region that simultaneously create economic value, provide secure career paths for young people, and deliver tangible benefits to local communities,” said Ádám Kovács, Head of Public and Government Relations at Eve Power Hungary Kft.

The company regularly participates in job fairs and career orientation events. The launch of recruitment and training programs also opens up new opportunities for the local and regional labor market.
