Harro Höfliger Hungary Receives Prestigious Recognition
At the annual general meeting of the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, a total of 18 member companies, including Debrecen-based Harro Höfliger Hungary, won the Reliable Employer award, presented to companies that set an exemplary standard in caring for the working and living conditions of their employees.
Custom-developed machines for the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries are already being produced in the newest manufacturing hall of Harro Höfliger Hungary Kft. The expansion of the company’s portfolio has also created new opportunities for employees, many of whom see the development as professional advancement.
“I have been working at the company for more than six years now, and during that time I have gone through a tremendous period of development. This has included both professional and language development, as I started my career as a production preparation specialist and today I continue as a project engineer,” said Zoltán Kelemen.
To win the Reliable Employer title, the company had to submit an application compiled according to a detailed set of criteria. Among other things, the application presented the company’s benefits system, training programmes, initiatives supporting employee wellbeing, as well as a specific example of best practice. The latter demonstrated how employees are informed about the company’s operations and strategic objectives.
“The real credit and thanks go to colleagues who operate these processes and programmes on a daily basis. I can mention the members of the HR team, our dual training instructors, our managers, but in fact all of our employees, who shape our culture with their ideas and feedback,” said HR Manager Péter Kanizsár.
The applications were evaluated by an independent professional jury, and Harro Höfliger received the award at the annual general meeting of the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce. This recognition was established in 2017 with the aim of encouraging companies to continuously improve workplace conditions. At the same time, the award also strengthens companies’ attractiveness on the labour market.
“For Harro Höfliger, it is of outstanding importance to be an excellent employer in the region. Accordingly, we have developed our strategy, and every day we work hard to achieve the goals laid down in it. The Reliable Employer award is a confirmation of this,” said Managing Director Csaba Juhász.
Based on the decision of the professional jury, a total of 18 companies won the recognition in this year’s competition, meaning they may use the Reliable Employer title for the next three years.
