Campus Festival to Affect Several Public Transport Services in Debrecen

This year’s Campus Festival will take place in the Great Forest between 22 and 26 July. To accommodate increased passenger demand, DKV will operate more frequent services on Tram Line 1 and bus routes 22, 22Y, 24 and 24Y. As in previous years, night bus routes C1, C2 and C3 will also operate throughout the festival. However, night bus routes 92, 93 and 94 will not run during the event.

Due to festival preparatory works, bus routes 16, 22, 22Y, 24 and 24Y will operate on diversion from the start of service on Monday, 20 July, until the end of service on Sunday, 26 July.

Diversions

Route 16

Towards Gyógyszergyár (Pharmaceutical Factory):

After the Baksay Sándor Street stop, buses will continue straight towards the University before following the diversion via Nagyerdei Boulevard and Pallagi Road.

Towards Nagyállomás (Main Railway Station):

After the Social Care Home stop, buses will turn right towards the Clinics before continuing via Nagyerdei Boulevard and Hadházi Road.

Route 22

After the Clinical Centre – Great Forest Campus stop, buses will turn around at the roundabout and operate via Nagyerdei Boulevard, Hadházi Road, Benczúr Gyula Street and Köztemető (Public Cemetery), Main Gate. After serving the Köztemető, Main Gate stop, buses will resume their normal route.

Route 22Y

After the Social Care Home stop, buses will turn right and follow the diversion via Nagyerdei Boulevard, Hadházi Road, Benczúr Gyula Street and Köztemető, Main Gate before returning to their normal route.

Route 24

After the Köztemető, Main Gate stop, buses will operate via Benczúr Gyula Street, Hadházi Road, Nagyerdei Boulevard (towards the University) and the Clinical Centre – Great Forest Campus. They will turn around at the roundabout before resuming their normal route.

Route 24Y

After the Köztemető, Main Gate stop, buses will operate via Benczúr Gyula Street, Hadházi Road, Nagyerdei Boulevard (towards the University) and Pallagi Road. After the Social Care Home stop, they will return to their normal route.

During the diversion period, routes 22, 22Y, 24 and 24Y will not serve the Köztemető, Main Gate or Köztemető, South Gate stops between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., when the cemetery is closed.

Daytime services

Tram Line 1

From 22 to 26 July 2026, trams will operate to a more frequent timetable from 5:00 p.m. until the end of service each day.

Bus routes 22, 22Y, 24 and 24Y

These services will also operate at increased frequency from 5:00 p.m. until the end of service. While the cemetery is open, additional buses will not serve the Köztemető, South Gate or Köztemető, Main Gate stops. After 8:00 p.m., all services will bypass the cemetery.

Night services

Tram Line 1

Throughout the Campus Festival, Tram Line 1 will also operate overnight.

Services will depart from Nagyállomás every 14–16 minutes from the end of daytime service until the start of service the following morning.

Night bus services

DKV will once again increase the number of overnight services between 22 and 26 July 2026. To meet significantly higher passenger demand, the timetables for routes 92, 93 and 94 have been incorporated into the C1, C2 and C3 night bus services. All three routes will depart from the Clinical Centre – Great Forest Campus stop every 20 minutes.

Route C1

Route: Clinical Centre – Great Forest Campus (University-bound stop) – Nagyerdei Boulevard – Hadházi Road – Nyíl Street – Árpád Square – Kassai Road – Sámsoni Road – Acsádi Road – Veres Péter Street – Vámospércsi Road – Létai Road – Lahner Street – Diószegi Road – Borzán Gáspár Street – Monostorpályi Road – Mikepércsi Road – Nagyállomás.

Departure times from Clinical Centre – Great Forest Campus: 00:00, 00:20, 00:40, 01:00, 01:20, 01:40, 02:00, 02:20, 02:40, 03:00 and 03:20.

Route C2

Route: Clinical Centre – Great Forest Campus (University-bound stop) – Nagyerdei Boulevard – University Square – Dóczy József Street – Békessy Béla Street – Mikszáth Kálmán Street – Thomas Mann Street – Nádor Street – Dózsa György Street – Csemete Street – Mester Street – Pesti Street – Kishegyesi Road – Derék Street – Vincellér Street – István Road – Vértesi Street – Gázvezeték Street – Mikepércsi Road – Nagyállomás.

Departure times from Clinical Centre – Great Forest Campus: 00:10, 00:30, 00:50, 01:10, 01:30, 01:50, 02:10, 02:30, 02:50, 03:10 and 03:30.

Route C3

Route: Clinical Centre – Great Forest Campus (University-bound stop) – Nagyerdei Boulevard – University Square – Dóczy József Street – Békessy Béla Street – Böszörményi Road – Akadémia Street – Szabó Lőrinc Street – Károli Gáspár Street – Vezér Street – Böszörményi Road – Main Road 35 – Sillye Gábor Street – Felsőjózsai Street – Elek Street – Rózsavölgy Street – Felsőjózsai Street – Gönczy Pál Street – Bocskai István Road – Tokaji Street – Templom Street – Alsójózsai Street – Nagyszentgyörgy Street.

Departure times from Clinical Centre – Great Forest Campus: 00:15, 00:35, 00:55, 01:15, 01:35, 01:55, 02:15, 02:35, 02:55, 03:15 and 03:35.

Valid tickets are required on all night bus services.
