Several DKV Routes Affected by Debrecen Flower Carnival

To ensure that the Debrecen Flower Carnival and accompanying events run smoothly on 20 August, bus, trolleybus and tram services will operate differently, DKV said in a statement on Tuesday. The company added that its services will operate to a public-holiday timetable on Thursday.

Tram 1:

From the start of service until the carnival procession has passed, expected to be until 2pm, trams will not operate on Route 1. Between 2pm and 4.18pm, however, they will operate along the entire route.

During the evening events, from 4.26pm until the end of service, 1V replacement buses will carry passengers between Nagyállomás – Egyetem – Klinikai Központ – Egyetem – Nagyállomás.

Between noon and 7pm, the services will return to their original route, then operate along the Trolleybus 5 route between 7pm and 10pm. From 10pm until the end of service, the trolleybuses will again operate along their original route.

The Trolleybus 3 services departing Segner Square at 7.02am and 6.55pm, and Köztemető main entrance at 7.05am and 7.12pm, will already operate along Route 5.

Trolleybus 4:

From the start of service until 7am, the services will operate along their original route. Between 7am and noon and between 7pm and 10pm, they will operate along the following route: Segner Square – Nyugati Street – Külsővásártér – Erzsébet Street – Wesselényi Street – Hajnal Street – Dániel Rakovszky Street – Mihály Munkácsy Street – Víztorony Street – Ótemető Street – Dániel Rakovszky Street – Hajnal Street – Wesselényi Street – Erzsébet Street – Külsővásártér – Nyugati Street – Segner Square. On 20 August, the service will operate along a diversion in both directions throughout the entire operating period. Towards the TEVA Pharmaceutical Factory, the bus will take the diversion via Baksay Sándor Street – Nagyerdei Boulevard (towards Egyetem) – Pallagi Road. Towards Nagyállomás, it will take the diversion via Pallagi Road – Nagyerdei Boulevard (towards Egyetem) – Hadházi Road.

Bus 19:

From 7am until the carnival procession has passed, and from 7pm until the end of the evening parade, towards Sámsoni Road the service will operate along the diversion via Széchenyi Street – István Tisza Street – József Antall Street – Erzsébet Street – Nagyállomás – Wesselényi Street – Hajnal Street – Mihály Munkácsy Street.

The services departing Jégcsarnok at 6.41am and 6.41pm will still operate along their original route.

The following night services will depart after 11.59pm on 20 August.

A Route 2 tram will depart Nagyállomás at midnight towards Doberdó Street/Egyetem, followed by a Route 1 tram at 12.05am.

An 18Y service will depart from the Kistemplom stop at midnight towards Széna Square, while a Route 47Y bus will depart at 12.05am towards Tégláskert Street.

A combined Józsa service will depart from the Csokonai Theatre stop (towards Segner Square) at midnight, operating along the route Csokonai Theatre – Széchenyi Street – Nyugati Street – Böszörményi Road – Main Road 35 – Szentgyörgyfalvi Road – Gábor Sillye Street – Felsőjózsai Street – Pál Gönczy Street – István Bocskai Road – Tokaji Street – Templom Street – Alsójózsai Street.

A Route 15Y bus will depart from the Csokonai Theatre stop (towards Burgundia Street) at midnight towards Bayk András Street.

From the Debrecen Court of Appeal stop, a Route 3 trolleybus will depart at midnight towards Kassai Road, a Route 19 bus will depart at midnight towards Sámsoni Road, and a Route 125 bus will depart at 12.05am towards Veres Péter Street, via the turnaround point on Vámospércsi Road.
