Temporary Changes Coming for Several Bus Routes in Debrecen

Traffic restrictions and changes to the timetables and routes of several bus services are expected in Debrecen due to resurfacing works on the section of Füredi Road between Dózsa György Street and Egyetem Avenue. The works will begin at 7am on Thursday, 27 August, and will be carried out in several phases until 4 September.

Diversion Route for Bus 12

From 7am on 27 August until 7am on 4 September, 12 buses travelling towards the Auguszta Clinical Centre will operate via Dózsa György utca – Füredi út – Böszörményi út – Bolyai utca. The services will not call at the Nádor utca or Szent László Greek Catholic Grammar School stops. Passengers can board the diverted services at the Malompark, Jerikó utca, Füredi út and Kertváros stops.

Diversion Route for Bus 23

From 6.30am on 28 August until 8am on 29 August, 23 buses travelling towards Doberdó utca will operate via Füredi út – Böszörményi út – Bolyai utca. These services will also bypass the Nádor utca and Szent László Greek Catholic Grammar School stops.

From 6.30am on 31 August until 7am on 1 September, 23 buses travelling towards Júlia-telep will be diverted via Bolyai utca – Böszörményi út – Füredi út. During this period, the DAB headquarters, Szent László Greek Catholic Grammar School and temporary Malompark stops will also be omitted. The services will stop at Kertváros and Domokos Lajos utca.

Temporary Malompark Stop to Be Omitted

Due to the resurfacing works, the temporary Malompark stop in the direction of Bem tér will be closed from 7am on 27 August until 7am on 1 September. During this period, the stop will not be served by the 21, 23, 33, 71, 71A, 71H or Auchan bus services, nor by the 971 and 973 night services.

Passengers are advised to allow for the changed routes and journey times before setting off.
