Retro Vehicle Day Coming Up in Debrecen
On 20 September, transport enthusiasts will once again have the chance to see some of DKV Zrt.’s much-loved historic vehicles back on the city’s streets. The heritage services will include the Ikarus 280T, the MAZ trolleybus – which operates in Hungary exclusively in Debrecen – the airport trolleybus, and the FVV, better known as the legendary Bengáli tram.
The retro vehicles will operate on several different routes. The Bengáli will run on tram route 1, departing from the Main Railway Station at 9:48 am and 10:46 am.
The Solaris Trollino 12D will operate on the Airport 1 route, departing from the Main Railway Station at 1 pm for the airport.
The Ikarus 280T will take to the road twice: at 2:35 pm on route 3 and at 3:35 pm on route 5, departing from Segner tér.
The distinctive MAZ 103T can be caught on route 2D, departing from Segner tér at 4:55 pm.
DKV’s heritage services are free of charge, meaning anyone can hop aboard these iconic Debrecen vehicles from a bygone era this Sunday.
