The University of Debrecen is relaunching its most successful business courses
Students can learn from experts at international companies in practice-oriented training courses.
“The Debrecen Business Service Centers Roundtable (DBSC) will once again launch two of its popular courses at the University of Debrecen this fall. The aim of the training is for students to gain up-to-date, practical knowledge through lectures by experts from the international business service sector,” writes unideb.hu.
The Real-Life Business course will be available to students in English, while the Career Foundation in the Business Service Sector will be available to students in Hungarian.
Both courses focus on career awareness and practice-oriented skill development, with the acquisition of key competencies such as project management, customer management, and business communication in an international environment.
The courses are special in that they bring real-world corporate experience to the university space: lecturers come from international companies such as 4iG, BT-British Telecommunications, Diel Aviation, Flowserve, NI-Emerson, and transcosmos. Students not only receive professional knowledge but also gain direct insight into the organizational culture, operations, and values of each company.
DBSC has been working with the University of Debrecen since 2018 and has since launched eight different courses in Hungarian, English, French, German, Italian, and Dutch.
“Interest in the programs is growing year by year: places are typically filled within the first few days. To date, more than 1,800 students have successfully completed the courses and taken the knowledge and connections they gained here into their professional lives,” Péter Csatár, Deputy Dean for Strategy and Economics at the Faculty of Humanities, told hirek.unideb.hu.
The aim of the DBSC Roundtable is to bring the business service centers operating in Debrecen closer to the younger generation, thereby helping to retain local talent and strengthen the region’s labor market.
