Diplomatic travel from China to Switzerland

Debrecen leaders will travel to China in the coming days to sign twinning agreements.

Afterwards, Mayor László Papp and Deputy Mayor Lajos Barcsa will attend meetings organised by the UN Economic Commission for Europe in Switzerland.

Mayor of Debrecen László Papp and Deputy Mayor Lajos Barcsa will travel to China from 20 to 27 September 2024, where they will sign a twinning agreement with Ningde and Tianjin, as decided by the General Assembly in August 2024.

The delegation will also include Antal Szekeres, the city’s titular mayor, and Gábor Ádám Kovács, head of the mayor’s office.

Mayor László Papp—and, therefore, the City of Debrecen—will represent Hungary at the annual Forum of Mayors in Geneva, organised under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). The Forum will be held in Switzerland on September 30th and October 1st this year.
