There Will Be No Shortage of Summer Experiences This Weekend Either

The “Belváros-Szeretem!” (I Love Downtown!) series of events once again offers a variety of activities in downtown Debrecen.

 Exhibitions, historical experiences, outdoor events, plusmusic and summer vibes—it’s definitely worth visiting downtown this weekend as well.

Events running all weekend:

“Zoo Portraits” – A photography exhibition by Roland Eszenyi, in collaboration with Nagyerdei Kultúrpark Nonprofit Kft.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 8

  • Encounter with History, a program at the Déri Museum
  • “It’s a Shame to Waste Words Here” – a musical journey through time, presented by the Csokonai National Theater in Debrecen
  • Occasional presentations by craft exhibitors – featuring local artists
  • Themed guided tour—in a cool setting with cold refreshments, organized by the Debrecen Bicycle Museum
  • Afro House DayTime Party featuring DEW TAILOR, presented by TABU Debrecen Dance & Night Club
  • DayTime Party, presented by Pince Café & Music Club

SUNDAY, AUGUST 9

  • Themed guided tour—in a cool setting with cold refreshments, organized by the Debrecen Bicycle Museum

Several restaurants and cafés on Piac Street are joining the “I Love Downtown!” program series with discounts and extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays:

  • Annuska Ice Cream Bistro – 10% discount on ice cream | Hours: Fridays until 9:00 PM, Saturdays until 10:00 PM
  • Stühmer – 10% discount | Hours: Fridays and Saturdays until 9:00 PM
  • The Box Donut – 10% discount | Hours: until 9:00 PM on Friday and Saturday
  • The Macaron Bites – 10% discount for dine-in | Hours: until 9:00 PM on Friday and Saturday

The events are free to attend; everyone is welcome!

The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the program.
