Zsuzsi Train Celebrates Its 144th Birthday with a Nighttime Adventure
On Saturday, July 18, the Star Train will set off once again to celebrate the 144th birthday of the Zsuzsi Forest Train.
The train departs at 7:00 p.m. from the Ruyter Street terminal, while the return trip departs from Hármashegyalja at 10:30 p.m. Passengers can look forward not only to a special evening train ride but also to numerous family-friendly and nature-themed activities.
At the House of Nature, between 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., visitors can enjoy a craft fair featuring minerals, the István Fekete Memorial Room, and a diorama exhibition, as well as pony rides.
The organizers will hold an owl presentation starting at 8:15 p.m., followed by a forest hike where participants can experience the atmosphere of the forest at night.
One of the evening’s main events will be stargazing: from 9:15 p.m. to 10:20 p.m., in the field next to Körszín, an astronomer from the Agóra Science Experience Center will guide participants through the wonders of the night sky.
During the event, the snack bar next to the House of Nature will be serving guests snacks, sweets, and refreshments.
Tickets for the event can also be purchased online in advance.
