Traffic Restrictions and Hot Water Interruptions Expected on Burgundia Street

Renovation of the district heating pipeline will take place in the section in front of 1–3 Burgundia Street between 20 July and 10 August. As part of the project, a section of the affected route will be excavated, restricting the use of both the pavement and the bus lane. During the works, the bus lane on the odd-numbered side of Burgundia Street, as well as part of the pavement, will be closed. However, two full-width traffic lanes will remain available for vehicles travelling towards Kossuth Street. The bus stop located within the excavation area will temporarily be relocated in the direction of Csapó Street.

On the even-numbered side of Burgundia Street, the inner straight-ahead lane will be restricted due to the movement of construction machinery. On this side, one traffic lane will remain available for vehicles, while the bus lane used by public transport will continue to operate without disruption.

The renovation will also involve a temporary suspension of the hot water supply on one occasion, following prior notification. According to current plans, there will be no hot water between 8 am and 4 pm in the following buildings:

  • 5/A–B–C Monti ezredes Street
  • 16–22 Burgundia Street
  • 34–40 Kossuth Street
  • 13–15 Blaháné Street (student residence)
  • 10–14 Blaháné Street
  • 3–7 Blaháné Street
  • 18 Kossuth Street
  • 2 Blaháné Street (office building)
  • 10 Kossuth Street (Csokonai National Theatre)
  • 3 Liszt Ferenc Square (Ady Endre Grammar School)
  • 37 Csapó Street
  • 4–12 Burgundia Street

The construction work may cause noise during daytime hours, and the contractor asks residents in the area and road users for their patience and understanding.
