Since there is no real festival without dance, an entire day is dedicated to the most popular form of musical movement. The art groups of Debrecen will take turns in the Great Hall of the Kölcsey Center on Saturday, the 6th of April, from morning until early evening. At the gala, 620 dancers from twenty-six associations and almost twenty dance styles will be presented to the public. The Family Day of Debrecen Spring Festival on the 7th of April promises plenty of games, a drive-in cinema and amazing aerial performers. The Iszkiri band will perform and visitors may explore the dance house and select from relaxing  and creative programmes. The Nature Reserve (Természettár) will offer craft activities, the Archives (Levéltár) will come with tiny houses, while the aerial gymnasts of Claudias Angels will dazzle the family morning audience with a spectacular display every hour.  The Dorkas' activities will test the children's skills with games, while parents can enjoy a quiz and a crossword puzzle.  Dance classes will be held with the Attitude Dance Company, the EviDance Sports Club, the Forgórózsa Dance Company and the R&B Hip Hop Dance School.  Kids can get behind the wheel of the batmobile or even the Lightning McQueen and can live the incomparable experience of drive-in cinemas. The Csicsogó Puppet Theatre comes with the story of Matyi Kökény, and for those who want to develop their logic skills, Mensa HungarIQa offers “brain” games. Culture, Learning, Career - Wunderbar Festival shows why learning German is worthwhile all year round. The national closing event of  Wunderbar Festival will be held in Debrecen on the 5th of April at 2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m. and is open to all interested parties. It is a great opportunity to meet diplomatic missions, companies  leaders, teachers and students. With music and digital elements, the event will be an interesting and interactive programme, where you can find out why German language is important to German, Swiss and Austrian business leaders in Debrecen, and where diplomatic representatives from German-speaking countries will talk about their countries' relations and cooperation with Hungary. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Holocaust, the German Cultural Forum in Debrecen is launching a long-term awareness-raising programme, the Éva Fahidi Dialogue Programme. The programme's name is linked to Éva Fahidi, a Holocaust survivor from Debrecen and Honorary Citizen of the City of Debrecen. The programme will start on the evening of the 15th of  April with a thematic film, titled The Euphoria of Existence (2019),  screening followed by a discussion. Within Retro Day programmes, jointly organised by Vojtina Puppet Theatre and Apollo Cinema to mark Debrecen’s no longer operating Uránia Cinema, founded in 1914, the English language film with Hungarian subtitles, Dracula (1931, 75 min) will be screened at Apollo Cinema on the 24th of April from 7.00 p.m. Since 2001, one of the city's most popular institutions, the Vojtina Puppet Theatre, has been operating in the building of the former Uránia Cinema, which changed its name twice; it was first known as Hungária and then Film Museum. Before the screening, Deputy Mayor Dr. István Puskás and Director of Vojtina Puppet Theatre Anikó Asbóth greet the audience. An accompanying film will be shown before the film Dracula! which is a two-and-a-half-minute segment from the film recorded in 1913, one year after the opening of the Apollo cinema and 1 year before the opening of Uránia. A presentation will be given on the interesting features and significance of the accompanying film by Local history researcher at the Architectural Archives Dr. Péter Horváth. Organisers cordially invite visitors all to their premium car show, which will take place in Debrecen’s Józsapark on the 5th of  May  from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00. p.m. For the third time, Debrecen will host the first big show of the season, the second time that flowers will be present alongside cars.
