The Steve Jazz Trio is made up of three teachers from the jazz department of the Béla Bartók High School of Music and Dance in Miskolc, who although excel primarily in the jazz genre, are also at home in the field of classical music. Pianist István Bundzik is a member and founder of several jazz formations: Fusio, Junior Art Quartett, Miskolc Dixieland Band, Click Jazz Band, and he tours the world's stages as a permanent piano accompanist of violinist Katica Illényi. Bass player Gyula Horváth, in addition to playing in symphonic and chamber orchestras, is a fan of the jazz genre, so the audience can recognize him mainly from such musical formations. Jazz drummer Gábor Kacsenyák does not stick to a single musical genre either, in addition to running a private drumming school, he also teaches classical percussion in several institutions, and appears on domestic stages in several light music ensembles. Professionalism, innovative solutions and international standards characterize the work of the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra, which provides world-class professional quality to its partners, audience, soloists and guest conductors. The band's performances were characterized by resounding success in almost all European countries, but on the most important music stages of Asia, in China, South Korea, and Taiwan, it also managed to win the recognition of both the profession and the audience. In the spring of 2009, the orchestra took part in a highly successful Far East and European tour with the legendary Italian film composer-conductor, Oscar winner Ennio Morricone. The Győr Philharmonic Orchestra's rich repertoire covers not only classical and traditional works, but it can also combine lighter genres with its professional skills. As a tradition Kowalsky and the Vega (Kowalsky Meg a Vega)  band start each year  at one of the country's major concert venues. This time, the year 2024 will be opened with two large-scale concerts. Kowalsky and the Vega is a Hungarian rock-oriented band. In the beginning, they strengthened the Funk-rock genre in Hungary, seasoned with hip-hop-style vocals, and nowadays they play music of a more mixed and popular soundscape.  To the great delight of the fans, they will hold a tour opening concert in both the eastern and western parts of the country, on the 10th of February, 2024 from 8 p.m. , they will perform in the Főnix Arena in Debrecen, and on February 24 in the Veszprém Arena. They are preparing a brand new program for the concert season, which also contains many surprises. In addition to the songs from their new album, which was released in October 2023, they will of course also play big hits of theirs. As spring approaches, on the evening of Valentine's Day, the concert of the Debrecen Big Band  titled  ‘LOVE – Valentine's Day Swing’  will be held within the intimate walls of the Debrecen Reformed Great Church on the 13th of February from 7 p.m.  In addition to the usual performances from the Debrecen Big Band, which won the Csokonai award, several orchestrations were prepared for this concert, which will be interpreted by nationally known and successful performers. Star performers of the concert Singer and actress Réka Koós, who uses her skills in all kinds of musical styles.  She is a Junior Lyra award-winning performer.   She has played in In Germany, Austria and our country, she has played main roles in several musicals in Madách Theater. Péter Szolnoki is an Artisjus award-winning musician, singer, composer, arranger, singer and flutist of the Bon-Bon band. Richard Strauss's magnificent symphonic poem The Merry Pranks of Till Eulenspiegel was composed in 1894-95. In this 'rags-to-riches tale', the composer depicts the adventures and frolics of a dashing folk hero, Till Eulenspiegel, in almost all the expressive possibilities of late Romanticism. Gustav Holst's 'cosmic' piece, The Planets, is little known in our country, although it is one of the most popular orchestral works in the composer's native Britain. Back To Floyd, also known as "Eger's Pink Floyd", will perform at Sikk Club in Domb Street on Thursday evening, on the 22nd of February, with a programme of the world-famous British band's 70s works. Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells - Live in Concert will be staged as part of a world tour to mark the 50th anniversary of the release of the iconic piece at 8.00 p.m. on the 25th of February, in Főnix Aréna. Mike Oldfield's masterpiece is performed by a team of nine great musicians. The material for the two-part concert was compiled by the Artist, who this time performs the duties of music director, arranger and producer. Mike Oldfield will not personally participate in the world tour, the guitarist chosen by him will be in his band. But in the concert and in this wonderful music, it is not the guitarist personally the determining factor. He is only one of the nine musicians. The point is the epoch-making work itself, which started and "made" the Artist great. He laid the foundations of a new genre, but at the same time preserved his completely unique sound.
